The social control movement of eugenics was led by biologists, mathematicians and philosophers and funded by wealthy business men and women. The movement of racial “hygiene” was pitched as a science but its own founders claimed it failed to meet scientific criteria. The patterns of racism, lying, limiting immigration and social control continues on today. My book chronicles the history of eugenics, how it started in the UK and US, spread to Nazi Germany and how Americans ended its practices.
A warning on Chapter One Being Feebleminded in Eastern Oregon 1919. While historically accurate, it contains violence, abuse and foul language.
